I'm just a little pissed off with some peoples definition of what a real friend is. So I'm just gonna help clear it up for you all so there need not be any more fuck ups.
1. Friends don't have to be exactly the same. Friends have similarities but they also have their differences. The key to opening up the world of friendship is not only to expand on similarities but to accept each other's faults. Because you can't ever judge your friend.
2. Friends don't lie to each other - no matter what. Being decieving is reserved for enemies only.
3. Friends don't go around bagging the shit out of you behind your back, and bag everyone else to your face when you confront them about it.
If ever one of those three rules is broken, you know right then and there that you don't have a true friend. I know this for a fact - I have the best friend anyone could possibly ask for - she's also my cousin - but that doesn't matter. I would take a bullet for her sorry ass, or a bus for that matter, and I know she would do the same for me.
I can not speak to her, or hear from her for a month, and yet when we get in contact with each other (who ever feels like not being lazy, lol) there is no feelings of animosity what so ever.
She is the person that knows when I'm depressed and will get me drunk to help plot revenge against whoever made me cry. When I fall, she will be there to take a photo and point and laugh at my clumsy ass. When I'm drunk and have no idea where I am, she will sit in the gutter with me (also pissed as a mute) and have a deep philosophical discussion about why we are tired of sting rays.
She pays me out about my stupidity, but knows that when her stupid colours shine - I will be right by her side to rub it in (WERTHQUAKE!!!!.......lol). We can sit for hours on end making each other laugh so hard that we cant smile for a day cause the muscles in our faces hurt so bad (mostly quoting stand up comics, or favourite movies).
But anyways, I think you all get the point - so to those who thought that they can get away with being a half-hearted friend and still reap the rewards of my friendship - think again, I'm onto you.
